Shandy

$8.00

Shandy is a delicate cardigan with a lovely cable and scallop detail, designed to showcase a delicate heather or wool fiber. The balance of simple scallops next to bold braids make a gorgeous texture that really manages to both stand out AND remain subtle at the same time.

Shandy is knit flat in one piece from cast-on edge to armholes, then fronts and back are separated and knit to top. Sleeves are shaped with short rows, and knit in round from shoulder to cuff. Buttonbands and collar are added last.

Yarn: Heavy DK or light worsted-weight wool needed. I love something with a subtle heather or delicate wooly quality for this, as it shows off the detail without overpowering the design.

The dyed Foxhow is no longer available from Happy Go Knitty, but Great Ocean Mill’s Eva yarn is the same base without the color and it’s wonderful stuff!
