Cool Arcade

$8.00

Cool Arcade is a diagonally cabled cardigan designed as part of the Cables and Hops collection, a collaboration with Berroco Yarns, by good friends Thea Colman and Bristol Ivy.

Thea and Bristol chose their favorite Berroco yarn for the collection - Ultra Alpaca, and then each of them designed 3 pieces to show off the yarn. The designs are all about diagonals and textures, and each uses the different weights and colors of Ultra Alpaca to show off the gorgeous qualities of this workhorse yarn in different ways.

Thea's knits are each named for one of the beers available at Buttonwoods Brewery, where all the pieces were photographed (by Gayle Zucker). Bristol's designs are each named for one of the glassware shapes on the bar!

Sweater body is worked from the bottom upwards in one piece, then worked flat in three pieces (back and two fronts) above the armholes. Sleeves are picked up and knit seamlessly from shoulder to cuff in the round. Collar is added last and is shaped with short rows.

This pattern was updated on 9/25 from the original, as there was an extra single cable on Row 15 of both the front charts. These have been removed, so you now only see the diagonal line of 1/1 cables across each front panel.
