Averna is a medium sized shawl that can stay on all day, indoors or out. It features garter stitch, a rib detail along the sides, and a beautiful lace border. The shawl is knit from the tip upwards, so you can easily adjust size to accommodate your yarn quantity - and I love the lines that the beginnings of the rib sections create on either side of center. The lace is an easily memorized repeat, and once the ribs are setup, knitting goes by quickly!

Yarn: mYak Tibetan Cloud (100% Tibetan-breed wool, 328 yds/300m per 3.52oz/100g skein) tibetan Cloud is a lofty fingering weight yarn. Shawl can easily be knit in another weight yarn, but size will vary. If substituting, I sugges a soft fiber without too much vareigation so details show up.

Gauge: 22sts/28rows = 4”/10cm

Needles: US 7/4.5 mm
